Hair-ied Horse Soldier

Begun as a humorous illustration to help get my son Ryan through a tough day at work, this "Hair-ied" Horse Soldier portrait was illustrated using my own Vietnam helmet. There are three matches, a bent Marlboro, P38 can opener, 11th ACR patch, mosquito repellent, and dog tags with Ryan's name on them within the scene. Ever felt like THAT at work?

Family Note: The three matches in my helmet band were given to me by my Dad and two uncles before I deployed "across the pond" to Vietnam. They were WWII Bomber Pilots (B-17s and B-29) and carried them - for safe blessing - throughout their missions. They made it home without a scratch - and so did I.

Time Of Execution: 20 Hours
